The newest poem by Linda Ellis author of the world reknown poem "The Dash"

Its humbling to have a world class poet write a poem specifically for you. Let me explain how I earned the honor. Ms. Ellis contacted me a while back about some books from Amazon.com I sell on my site. I explained my reasoning to her in a nice e-mail and she seemed to accept the reasoning at that time. Because she contacted me, and I replied, she was added to my address book.

We recently had a death in the family and I'm helping my niece organize a team for an American Cancer Society Relay for Life event. I sent a message to many people in my address book. Ms. Ellis was one of those.

This is pretty interesting to follow because it is not often one gets to see the creative writing process in action. Ms Ellis response to my request for donations to the American Cancer Society in blue with my response in green.

Oh, my. Did I send you anything? If I did, I apologize.
I've been getting yours for quite a while, but didn't realize you were on my distribution list also. I will remove you immediately.
I truly didn't know you were there at all.
If several of my emails throughout the months have been annoying you also, oh I humbly apologize.

Its quite alright. They don't annoy. I'm humbled you ever visited my site to see what I had to offer and thought enough to drop me a note about the books on my Dash page.

And, I'm terribly sorry if I sent any other "annoying" e-mails. Had you let me know then we could have avoided all this syrupy unpleasantness.

The New Poem by Linda Ellis

Ah....Mr. LeClair, I do so humbly apologize.
Might I also add that you are the biggest asshole I have ever come in contact with?
Sorry, did I write that?
I humbly apologize.
Leave me the hell alone, you moron.

Now, I know it won't appeal to the mainstream like "The Dash" does but I truly wish her all the best in marketing this one.
