We use very simple rules

  • 5 oz. max
  • Wheels:
  • sanding allowed
  • 4 - all touching track surface
  • no extreme peaks, ridges, etc.
  • Wheelbase:
  • As per scout kit. (No changes to basic wheelbase)
  • Axles:
  • Removal of flashing and/or burrs
  • polishing allowed
  • Lubricant:
  • Graphite
  • Propulsion:
  • Gravity (No rocket engines!)
  • Width:
  • 3 - 1/8 inches
  • Length:
  • 7 inches
  • Height:
  • 3 inches
