Our charter organization is the Concerned Parents of Troop 299.
Troop 299 is part of the
Mene Oto District,
Santa Clara County Council,
Boy Scouts of America.
Our charter organization is the Concerned Parents of Troop 299.
We have a First Class Tracking Form on the site. It should help
take some of the mystery out of the advancement process and help the scout, his parents and his
troop leaders by showing all the requirements for the three necessary ranks: Tenderfoot, Second
Class, and First Class.
Since Boy Scouts is really an outdoor oriented program, it's not surprising
that many requirements needed for advancement can be earned on outdoor activities. ( It's also the reason
that the troop maintains an active outdoor program. ) The next best place to work on
your requirements is at Troop meetings. It's important to look at the
calendar and plan ahead to ensure you match up your requirements with the monthly theme.
Check with whoever is planning the monthly theme to make sure you know which
requirements can be signed off.
Scouts interested in transferring or joining our troop should contact us.
Troop 299 usually meets in the Santa Teresa / Blossom Hill area of San Jose. Occasionally we will have troop meetings out in the field.
